In the time tunnel with teachers: Kayode Akintúnde and Kehinde Ayodeji from CEDANZE – Academia João Pequeno de Pastinha – CECA Mestre Faísca, from 1995 to 2024!

They were born in the city of Salvador Bahia, and grew up in the community of Vale das Pedrinhas – Nordeste de Amaralina. Since the first days of her pregnancy in the womb of her mother, « teacher Sônia Sueli», who is a teacher of Capoeira Angola from CEDANZE AJPP-CECA. Learn a little more about them:

Teacher Kayode Akintúnde, he was born in November 1995, and at 1 year and 3 months old, he already performed at the events and Capoeira rodas in the city of Salvador. He made his first trip in 1997, performing in several groups and national meetings of Capoeira Angola in the state of São Paulo. He appears in the video, vadiando Capoeira Angola with Mestre Lua de Bobó in the city of Piracicaba – São Paulo. This meeting was organized by Mestre Zequinha of the Raiz Angola Group, in 1997.

Teacher Kehinde Ayodeji, was born in March 1997, but he was already present at events, meetings of Capoeira Angola inside the womb of his mother, to teacher Sônia Sueli who participated actively in the vadiações of Capoeira Angola in Salvador in 1996. The teacher Sônia Sueli, participated without interruption of classes of Capoeira Angola in the headquarters of CEDANZE AJPP-CECA in Vale das Pedrinhas until one day before teacher Kehinde’s birth. She attended the class on Saturday afternoon, and on Sunday, March 2, the teacher kehinde Ayodeji was born.

Teachers Kayode and Kehinde actively participated without interruption of classes of Capoeira Angola, Samba, percussion and all events and meetings held by CEDANZE Academia João Pequeno de Pastinha – CECA Mestre Faísca in Salvador, since the gestation of both in his mother’s womb until now, in 2024. This achievement is proud of our Association and our school “Mestre João Pequeno de Pastinha!”

Today, they are part of the teaching staff at CEDANZE Academia João Pequeno de Pastinha – CECA in Salvador, and also in other socio-cultural projects such as the Casa do Sol in the neighborhood of Cajazeiras.

They are Capoeira Angola teachers certified by CEDANZE Academia João Pequeno de Pastinha – CECA, and holder of a bachelor’s degree from the State University of Bahia – UNEB, and a technical training by the State Center for Professional Education in Music (CEEP).

The teachers Kayode and Kehinde, have been performing in Bahia, Brazil, and in Europe, at popular festivals and public and private institutions with Capoeira Angola, samba, and percussion!
