The Zebra Dance Cultural Center [CEDANZE] created by Luís Roberto Ricardo Mestre Faísca, is an association that was born in Brazil in 1989 in the cities of Mococa and São José do Rio Pardo – São Paulo, was made official in 2003 in the state of Bahia in the city of Salvador, registered with CNPJ under number 06.109.443 / 0001-00, headquartered at Rua Raimundo Viana, nº 61-E, Rio Vermelho | Vale das Pedrinhas, Salvador, Bahia.
When CEDANZE was made official in 2003, it constitutes a Council of Honor with a lifetime position chaired by Dr. João Pereira do Santos – Mestre João Pequeno de Pastinha and other advisors of the highest expression of Capoeira in Bahia, such as Dr. Ângelo Augusto Decânio Filho – Mestre Decânio and the filmmaker, writer, Mestre Jair Moura.
In the same decade, Mestre Faísca established centers with representatives in other Brazilian cities such as Poços de Caldas MG, Florianópolis SC, Maragogipe (lower Guai) – BA, in Latin America in the city of Montevideo – Uruguay, and in European cities like Milan · IT, Brussels · BE, Coimbra · PT, Madrid · ESP, Lausanne · Switzerland.

In order to propagate Afro-Brazilian culture through Capoeira Angola, maintaining the philosophy, technique of Mestre João Pequeno de Pastinha and the legacy of CECA, that Mestre Faísca expanded the work of CEDANZE · AJPP-CECA to Europe, coordinating nuclei with representatives of the institution in European countries, such as: Italy, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland.
In 2012, Le Center Culturel Danse du Zèbre [CEDANZE] W751216911 was officially born in the city of Paris, France, a cultural institution, registered under the 1901 law of France, and entered into an agreement in Spain with the city of Cuenca passing having a representative in that city.
The objective of CEDANZE is to carry out work aimed primarily at Capoeira Angola, with fidelity to the knowledge transmitted by Mestre João Pequeno de Pastinha (1917 – 2011), who had his knowledge recognized through two honorary doctorate degrees, granted by the University Federal de Uberlândia and the Federal University of Bahia. In this work, sports, musical and pedagogical properties are mainly focused, understood according to ancestral tradition in order to contribute to the promotion of socio-educational changes.
Recalling that in the year 2014 in the city of Paris, UNESCO – United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture declared the Capoeira circle as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This Afro-Brazilian cultural manifestation is now practiced in much of the world!
