Due to the result and efficiency, the program was extended to other regions of Brazil and to other countries!

In France, the João e Maria Citizenship project is present in the city of Paris in the 20th arrondissement and is part of the politics of the city through the programs: Atelier Tap, CAF and has the support of partner associations and social centers.

What is Capoeira Angola?

Capoeira Angola is a form of Afro-Brazilian cultural expression, where participants stay in a circle. It is conducted by an orchestra composed of musical instruments. In the center of the circle two capoeiristas are going to hang around “running the Capoeira game”.

It is possibly the only art of Attack and Defense that is accompanied by chants and an orchestra of percussive music!

How does the course work?

It is divided into two parts:

1. Class of percussive instruments: Berimbau, tambourine, reco-reco, agogô, atabaque and chants

2. Physical activity with attack and defense movements of Capoeira Angola and body balance

Sport and culture reinforce family values, direct children and adults to the paths:

From science, ecology, good food and away from bad habits, drugs imposed by a market society!

The Associação CEDANZE – Academia João Pequeno de Pastinha – CECA offers Capoeira Angola courses for children on Tuesdays at 7 pm in the multipurpose room of Archipélia, 7 Rue des Envierges 75020. More info: + 33 6 66 56 13 90 60.
