The richness of our lineage is rooted in an African matrix through the oral transmission of knowledge, characterized by a privileged bond between master (mestre) and disciple and an overriding commitment to the knowledge and cultural patrimony that is to be transmitted and preserved.

Our lineage runs from: Mestre Africano Benedito, Mestre Pastinha, Mestre João Pequeno and Mestre Faísca.

Dedicated to researching and transmitting Capoeira Angola, Mestre Faísca has fine-tuned the pedagogy already present in the tradition, so as to facilitate learning and greater social inclusion based on the respect for everyone’s individuality and pace of progression.
